Joe
DeLuca began playing keyboards and guitar in the Philly/New
Jersey rock scene in the 1970s with original bands like Versylus,
PMA, Shouting Distance,
Steve Junker and Poor Devil, Simon Says, Creamsicle Spiders,
and Smokin' Donny V.
Joe has also appeared as a session player on a number of releases
from regional artists. In 1981 he enrolled in Kajem Studio's
highly regarded recording program, studying with engineer/producer
Joe Alexander; DeLuca exited the program with multiple skills
as musician/engineer/producer. Those skills found a home in
1985 when Joe opened his own New Jersey based studio facility
- "Why Me?" Recording - where he continues to offer
multitrack recording and artist development services.
Joe's many years of experience in performance and studio engineering
are bolstered by his
involvement in mastering and manufacturing; Joe's equally
at home, whether he's
punching up multitrack mixes, mastering, advising clients
on graphics, or career strategy.
Among all of Masterwork's engineers, Joe continues to distinguish
himself consistently
with his on-job "multitasking", and by having the
longest hair.
